Use the link above (Sooreal_Studio.zip) to download an example VR tour through a small studio apartment. This tour will only work on a 64bit Windows machine (for the moment). Very soon we will release the Mac version as well.
Instructions:
Simply download the zip file, extract it and start the Sooreal.exe file. You can then use your mouse to look around the studio apartment and your keyboard to move around.
Use WASD keys on your keyboard for movement. You can interact with some objects (change their color) by right-clicking on them when you approach them and the mouse icon appears.
Choose LOW, MED, HIGH, ULTRA graphic settings based on the quality of your computer and the speed of your graphic card. Use ESC key to go to the options menu and change graphic settings any time you want.
Remark: The application might ask you to update DirectX and Visual C++ libraries. You are basically installing a "video game" and that always happens when you install a new video game to your computer.
Tip: If you see the welcoming screen (where it says "Play") and nothing is happening after you click the mouse, give it 10 seconds because it might still be loading in the background.
This is just a very very small example of what is possible. By using Game Engines for Architectural Visualisation, we are able to change colors and materials of objects, switch objects, push walls or furniture around,
change the atmosphere (sun, rain, snow, etc..), change different lighting scenarios (day, night), turn on water, start a fire in the fireplace, play with video, sound, and much more...
